Traditional saunas

Sauna is a Finnish word meaning a closed room which is equipped with a special heater with rocks to achieve a dry and hot bath.

A wood burning or electric sauna with rocks helps to raise sauna temperature up to 90-100°С or even more. You can throw water on the rocks or various herbal teas to produce a more fragrant steam.

When the sauna room is perfectly heated up and the air is dry, your body temperature starts increasing. Due to water which is poured on the rocks the air becomes a burning steam but after some time it becomes dry again. Sauna is the only bath type which provides dry and humid air. Thus, it combines the best features of the Roman dry saunas and Russian humid banyas. It is well known that high humidity in the room makes it harder to endure high temperature. In the sauna room, the temperature can reach more than 100°С whereas the air humidity is only 5-10%.
Almost every Finnish house is equipped with a sauna. People in Finland have a sauna everyday and the process is as usual as brushing one’s teeth. Finnish sauna is made of wood.
Nowadays it is popular to have a sauna at home or at least in a cottage.

Russian banya sessions are long, they require much time and effort. On the contrary, quickly-heating sauna with an electric heater is the best option for modern day people. In the morning it helps to wake up, gain energy and concentrate before work, while in the evening it helps to relax and eliminate tiredness.

Sauna is compared with a shock-effect for your body when the person first stays is a hot sauna and then has a cold bath or a swim in a cold pool. Heating procedures are performed best at natural circumstances. The normal air humidity level is 40-70%, sometimes a little bit higher.

We design, manufacture and equip various saunas – from traditional prefabricated models for small premises with low output (4-6kW) heaters to projects of different sizes and complicated technologies. Price depends on complexity, size and materials. We are ready to offer various types of wood (lime, black alder, abachi) at manufacture’s prices.
